Is this an official ARRL or FCC course?
No — this is an independent exam preparation course. It covers the FCC Technician class question pool (2026–2030) to help you prepare for the official exam. It is not affiliated with the ARRL, NCVEC, or the FCC.
Which question pool does this course cover?
This course is based on the NCVEC Technician class question pool valid from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2030 (409 questions). We recommend checking arrl.org/question-pools for any updates if significant time has passed since you purchased the course.
How is the Technician exam structured?
The exam consists of 35 multiple-choice questions drawn from the published question pool. You need 26 correct answers (74%) to pass. The exam is administered by a volunteer examiner team — search arrl.org to find a session near you.
Do I need any prior electronics or radio knowledge?
None at all. We start from scratch and build up everything the exam tests.
How long do I have access?
Lifetime access. Watch at your own pace, re-watch before your exam.
Is there a practical assessment?
No. The Technician exam is written only — 35 multiple-choice questions.
